Crowborough Coachworks was established by the current owner, Stephen Lazell in 1983 principally as a bodyshop. In 1987 the business diversified into servicing, the supplying of tyres and MoT testing. As such it is the most established motor vehicle repairer in the area. Five years ago we moved to the modern premises we currently inhabit with ample parking, comfortable customer area and a seven bay workshop including TWO MoT bays.
As the most experienced testing station for miles around, our Nominated Testers have between them carried out a staggering 100,000 tests in their respective careers. We currently carry out 400-600 tests a month rendering us one of the busiest test centres in the country! Our test facility has recently been upgraded with the latest equipment and now enables us to test motorcycles as well as large vans and minibuses and the more normal family cars.
Having two bays gives us flexibility and keeps our 'lead time' to a minimum, typically less than 24 hours. Our seven members of staff are all main dealer trained and between them have well over 100 years experience to call on.
