Loss of power, DPF/EML (Engine Management Light) Warning on your Dashboard then your Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) may be blocked.
If your car is used for short journeys, carbon and soot builds up in the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).
On longer journeys with higher speed your vehicle will clear the build-up of carbon and soot by going through a self-clean process called "regeneration".
However if this is not maintained then a blockage can occur in the DPF causing the EML (Engine Management Light) to come on and may put your vehicle into limp mode (reduces the limit and power).
